Closing down Swapmeets(both indoor and outdoor)

Looking for anyone who wants to discuss the topic of closing down swapmeets. I am of the opinion that swapmeets are hurting retailers across the country and costing cities millions of dollars in lost revenue. As I have traveled across Southern California it concerns me that people would rather go to the swapmeets then to go to their local retailers who are doing everything they can to get people into their stores.

Had a great case 3/22/08

My trainee and I where watching this female selecting a lot of merchandise and placing it in her cart. After she made a lot of trips to the fitting room to arrange her cart she walked right out the door with out paying for her merchandise. When we went to go stop outside the store she dumped the merchandise and got into her car and left. The best part of this story is she didn't realize that there was a brush fire at the top of the hill and she was stuck in traffic. We called the police who then… Continue

I know what you mean. We've had to cut back on some costs, which always means that some lose their jobs, while others take on more workload. But, I'm still working, and so far, the business is not as bad as our competitors, either.
